N-Power build to train and engage 75.000 unemployed Nigerian youths with requisite entrepreneurial skills.

Over the years, one of the biggest and basic problems facing Nigeria as a country is the high level of youth unemployment. This problem has shown no signs of abating but has continued to worsen instead as successive governments have come and gone without making any real efforts towards solving it.


In order to tackle youth unemployment and bring down to the lowest acceptable level, the Federal Government Of Nigeria under the current administration led by president Muhammadu Buhari has designed a program called N-Power.

N-power Nigeria is designed by the Government to enable Nigerian youths, both graduates and non graduates to acquire necessary skills to help them mover from a life of unemployment and job seekers  to being entrepreneurs and employers of  labour.

 The N-power Nigeria programmes is meant to be in phases with the first participants meant to resume by August 1, 206. The first phase of N-Power will target Nigeria’s critical needs in education, agriculture, technology, creative, construction and artisan industries.

Before now, we had already looked at the other job opportunities under the Federal Government's N-Power programmes namely; N-Power Graduate Teacher Corps and N-Power Knowledge programmes. Today, we will be looking at the third and the last part of the Npower Nigeria Programmes which is N-Power Build.

How to Apply For N-Power Build Programme

As we already stated earlier, this is the last part of the 3 categories of the first phase of the N-Power programmees. It is meant to engage and train 75,000 unemployed young Nigerians who will be trained to become a group of skilled and competent workforce of artisans, technicians and general service professionals.

The participants of the n-power under the N-power build programmes will be trained with a focus on Building services, aluminum and gas, automotive industry, construction, built Environment services and utilities. The training is to last for a period of 3 months and the trainees or participants will be awarded the certificate of National Skills Qualification (NSQ).

Requirements For You To Apply For N-Power Build Programmes

For you to apply for the Npower Nigeria build programmes, you must meet the following requirements;

• Currently Unemployed
• No degree or diploma requirements
• Aged between 18-35
• Interest in fixing, building and creating things

How To Apply For N-Power Build Programmes

For you to apply, you have to login to the npoower login portal and register your details after which you will print out the last page which will congratulate and thank you for indicating an interest to be part of the N-power build programme.

It is important to note that this programme is not an employment in itself as so many people seem to misunderstand that. It is only a paid form of training after which you are expected to transfer the skills and experiences you gained through the training into a job for yourself.  The government have promised to monitor the participants and provide them with some mentorship after the training to ensure maximum result.
