Funny as it may sound, even though the US is not just a World power but the World Leader for a very long time now, most of the people around the world and even in the US do not know the names of the 50 US states. Now, that is why this short article has come in hand to help us all out by compiling a comprehensive list of Sates in the US, their capitals and their time zones.
The U.S.A or US is the abbreviated name of the United States of America. US is a federal republic which is made of 50 states stretching to cover a large expanse of North America in the Western Hemisphere, with Alaska in the extreme Northwest and Hawaii extending the nation’s presence into the Pacific Ocean.The capital of the USA is Washington DC which is also regarded as a federal district.
Out of the 50 US states, 48 states are contiguous (connected) with Alaska and Hawaii separated from the rest.
